Rodney Lee Villebrun Sr., 60, of Minneapolis, formerly of Nett Lake, passed away on July 16, 2024, at his home.

Rodney was born in Cook, Mn on May 26, 1964, and grew up in Minneapolis until moving to Orr, where he attended high school. While in high school, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He moved to Superior where he worked as an auto mechanic. He also worked for Day by Day Labor as a roofer. After a time, he moved back to Minneapolis.

Rodney enjoyed hanging out with his longtime girlfriend Brenda and giving his cats crazy names.

Rodney is survived by his son Rodney Villebrun Jr.; mother Eileen (Kenneth) Villebrun Barney; his father David (Dorothy) Connor; his sister Shelley Strong; his brothers: Michael Villebrun and Ken (Jessica) Villebrun; girlfriend Brenda Burns; along with many other relatives and friends.

Rodney is preceded in death by his twin sister Ramona Barto; grandparents: Viola and Frank Villebrun and Lawrence and Ida Connor.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Bois Forte Government and Services Center.
