Obituary

Ronald William Fisher II, 44, of Virginia, MN passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at his home. Ronald was born to Ronald William Fisher I and Ann Whitecrow on August 24, 1974 in San Diego, California. Ronald's father was in the Navy and the family moved frequently. They eventually settled back in Minnesota in Nett Lake. In his youth, Ronald was a passionate and talented guitar player and enjoyed collecting baseball cards. Ronald moved to Alaska for a time and worked for the Great Alaskan Shirt Company.

Ronald loved spending time with his granddaughters and would often join them with their arts and crafts projects. Ronald also liked to spend time with his nieces and nephews. He was always willing to give a helping hand to his family or anyone that needed it. Ronald's favorite pastime was walking. He was a free-spirited person…free as the wind.

Ronald was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Ronald is survived by his daughter Morgan Vaughn; his siblings: Troy A. King, Michelle D. Fisher, and Lucas J. Cole Mattson; his granddaughters: Alice A. Stratton and Liliana M. Stratton; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Traditional Native Services will be held at the Nett Lake School. The wake will begin on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 5:00PM. The Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 10:00AM. Gilbert Smith will be the Spiritual Leader and Gene Goodsky will be the Spiritual Advisor.
