Shelley Mae Strong, 63, of Nett Lake, MN passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Shelley was born on June 11, 1962, in Cook, MN. She worked at the Nett Lake School as a Cook, and as a pharmacist aid.

Shelley enjoyed fishing, hunting, ricing and just being outdoors. She also enjoyed beading and doing crafts and cooking, which was a big part of her life. She was passionate about volunteering in the community and was always happy to help. She loved to entertain her grandchildren, laughing, dancing and singing with them. Shelley was an outgoing, fun-loving free spirit. She loved to poke jabs and was always joking, laughing and smiling. She always brought "more" anywhere she went, making any gathering more fun and livelier. She will be dearly missed.

Shelley was preceded in death by her husband Eric Strong; daughter Lindsey Quoetone; granddaughters: Camaira Villebrun and Nevaeh Villebrun; grandson Isiah Moon; brother Sam Villebrun; sister Mona Villebrun; grandparents: Vi and Bronco Villebrun; and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her parents: Eileen and Kenny Barney, and Father David (Guy) Connor; children: Brent (Danelle) Villebrun, Ashley Goodsky, and Amanda Quoetone; brothers: Kenny Villebrun and Michael (Suzy) Villebrun; numerous grandchildren; and numerous aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

A wake will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2025 starting at 5:00pm at the Nett Lake Government and Services Center. The service will be held the next day on Friday, January 9, 2025 at 10:00am, also at the center.
