Steven L. Guinn 1945-2023

Steven L. Guinn – Born to Sophie and Pete (Marion) Guinn on June 15, 1945, in Dekalb IL. With two sisters Carole (older) and Candy (younger).

Growing up in Minnesota he lived a rich and fulfilled life. He loved growing up in the country, where life was full of excitement. He enjoyed playing sports; his favorite being 8-man football. Steve proudly joined the U.S. Air Force in 1963. Soon after he married the love of his life and changed her name to Sharan Guinn (Wooster) on May 7,1966. Together they raised three rowdy boys, Rob, Eric and Jason, on a military salary. He worked a second job to see Sharan's dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse turn into a reality. After the Service he had a second successful career at Lockheed-Martin where he worked on several major projects of which he was particularly proud of his work on the Titan Rocket program.

He departed this world to join his wife and family on October 20, 2023. He is loved and missed by many.

He is survived by his three sons: Rob, Eric, and Jason; his sister Candy; his 6 grandchildren and his 9 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11:00am at the Bear River Church, Bear River, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church at 10:00am. Military Honors will be accorded by the Cook VFW Post #1757 Honor Guard and Orr American Legion Post #480 Honor Guard. Burial will take place in the Bearville Cemetery.
