Terrie Lynn Morrison, 71, of Virginia, MN passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Chestnut Grove Assisted Living. Terrie was born in Cook, MN to Daniel Sr. and Priscilla (Donald) Morrison on October 14, 1952.  Terrie attended Orr High School and graduated in 1970. Terrie worked road construction as a flag person for numerous years. She also worked as a HeadStart Assistant for Bois Forte, and worked on the Bois Forte Housing Maintenance Department cleaning units in preparation for occupancy. She worked in the Post Office in Nett Lake; she was a maintenance worker at the old Nett Lake Store. She was one of the first shuttle drivers for Fortune Bay. Upon leaving employment, she retired to take care of her mother, Priscilla. She always loved taking care of her grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and nephews. She enjoyed building fires in the backyard and sitting around enjoying her beer. She was an excellent knocker of wild rice, she also enjoyed cooking and inviting people over to eat. She made the best popcorn and fried chicken.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Sr. and Priscilla Morrison, brothers, Daniel Jr., Jim, and John Morrison, two nieces, Denise and Chris Marie, Brother In-Law, Leonard Thompson Jr. and Sister In-Law Teresa Morrison, and nephew Eric Strong.

Terrie is survived by her daughter Aimee (Peter) Drift, her grandchildren Danessa, Vic, Peter, and Isabella, of Mahnomen, MN her sister Wendy Morrison-Thompson, of Nett Lake, MN her brother David Morrison Sr, of Nett Lake, MN as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Wake will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 starting at 7:00pm at the Bois Forte Tribal Government Center, Nett Lake, MN. The Funeral Service will be held the next day, on Sunday, October 29, 2023, also at the center, at 1:00pm with Pastor Steven Yatckoske officiating. Burial and Lunch will follow immediately after the service. Casket Bearers: Bryan "Toogie" Porter, Lewis Strong III, Jaylen Strong, Corey A. Strong, David "Squidgy" Morrison Jr., Darian Morrison, Trevor Morrison, Sean Morrison.
