Victoria Ann
Villebrun
Aug 23, 1958 — Mar 13, 2026
Victoria "Wick-o" Ann Holmes Villebrun born 23 August 1958 to Marjorie and Axel Holmes Sr. died peacefully at the Essentia Health-Virginia on 13 March 2026.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie Alice Wakemup Holmes and Axel James Holmes, Sr. and her husband, Raymond Elmer Villebrun Sr.
She's survived by her sons: Raymond E. Villebrun Jr., Aaron "Supe" Villebrun, Ryne Villebrun and daughters: Marjorie Jane Villebrun and Nicole Fairbanks. Also her sisters: Mildred "Millie" Holmes, Marian Holmes, Vera Holmes Branstrom and brothers Axel Holmes Jr and Charles Holmes Sr. and two grandchildren, Branson and Christopher, whom she doted on as many grandmas do.
Wick-o's many nieces and nephews were the recipients of her annual Christmas and birthday presents.
She loved celebrating holidays, having family dinners and her latest projects were the scrapbooks she made for all her children and grandchildren. She made and sold beaded earrings to help raise money for her family. She loved Candy Crush, myVegas Slots and would wait patiently for her chance to collect for her games each day.
She recently retired from her position as Executive Secretary for the Bois Forte Tribal Council where she worked for 44 years. She worked in other positions for Bois Forte after receiving her AA in Culinary Arts from Lake Superior Technical College. She graduated from Orr High School in 1976 and attended College of St. Scholastica before transferring to Lake Superior Technical College.
She was almost as great a fan of the Green Bay Packers as her father was. She would happily wait for the Viking-Packer games and heartily cheer her team on...even when they occasionally lost to the Vikes.
