Wesley Gunder
Fosso
Feb 4, 1951 — Mar 1, 2020
Wesley Gunder Fosso, 69, of Morcom Township, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
Wesley was born to Gunder and Martha (Lange) Fosso on February 4, 1951 in Chisholm, MN. Wesley attended school in Cook and Chisholm, graduating from Chisholm High School in 1969. Right after graduating, Wesley entered a long career of logging, starting at the bottom and working his way up to operating logging equipment; he retired in 2008. During this time Wesley met and married Debra Olliney; they were married on July 20, 1974 and were blessed with two sons Patrick and Jeremy.
Wesley loved the great outdoors and everything it had to offer. He liked to fish and hunt, and when his grandson could join him in these adventures, he loved it even more. Wesley cherished every moment spent with his grandson, even if they were tinkering or just sitting and watching Gunsmoke together. Wesley also enjoyed restoring old cars. He was looking forward to his latest project; an old car that he gave his grandson with plans of restoring it together.
Wesley's life was centered around his family; his wife, sons and his grandson were his whole life and he loved them with all his might. He and his wife would often jokingly argue who loved who the most. He would end the debate by telling Debra that he "loved her 2 x 7 and ½, and that was the most you could love anyone." Wesley was a very kind and caring person, and if anyone needed help, Wesley was right there to give them a hand.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Glennis Anderson, Margaret Anderson, Janet Szweduik; and a brother Lorry Fosso.
Wesley is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debra Fosso; sons: Patrick Fosso and Jeremy (Dacey) Fosso; grandson Brady Fosso; brother Karl (Anne) Fosso; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a private interment at a later date. To leave an online condolence visit www.mlakerfuneralhome.com
