William "Billy" J. Rutchasky, 67, of Cook, MN passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2024 with his family by his side.

Billy was born in Hibbing on October 4, 1956 to William "Bill" Rutchasky and Beatrice (Rankila) Waisanen.

Billy married Patty on February 12, 1986. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, writing in his journal daily, working for his dad, spending time on the "70", spending Sundays taking saunas and hanging out with his buddy Boof, and writing beautiful poems to Patty. Billy would always give a helping hand to anyone that needed it.

Billy is survived by his best friend and light of his life Patty; daughters Ellie (Jay) Brunner, Chrissy Daufelt, and son Mikey Daufelt; grandchildren: Cody Simonson, Ashley Sarazine, Niko Sarazine, Kyle (Jesse) Krostreba, Khristianna Dutton (Levi) and Presley Taittonen; 12 great-grandchildren; father Bill Rutchasky; sisters: Lois (Dudley) Reing and Pauline (Cory) Rutchasky; brother Ronnie Rutchasky; stepdad Roger Waisanen; and special friends: Boof, Rod and Pam; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many close friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother Beatrice, brothers: Steven, Wendell, and Danny; his best buddy John Miller, and step-mother Marge Rutchasky.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 2:00pm at Mlaker Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
